Hi, I’m Renée — a professional Dutch language tutor.
Since 2019, I have been teaching Dutch online to students from around the world, helping them build practical language skills in a structured and engaging way. I work with learners from beginner (A0) to intermediate (B2), adapting each lesson to individual goals and learning styles.
After several years of experience on international language platforms, I established my own business, “Dutch and You”, registered as an Individual Entrepreneur in Georgia. Through this, I provide personalized online lessons and develop custom learning materials for my students.
Before becoming a full-time tutor, I spent over 11 years in training and coaching roles, where I developed strong communication and teaching skills that I now apply in my lessons.
My teaching focuses on conversation, grammar, pronunciation, and building confidence, using a structured approach grounded in recognized language-learning frameworks. All lessons are conducted online via Google Meet.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new places and developing online learning materials for my students. I am currently based in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Exploring Tbilisi: My partner and I recently moved to beautiful Georgia, and we’re loving our new home! It’s been an incredible adventure getting to know the local culture and history.
Feeding street cats (and dogs!): I always carry a bag of food – proudly a passionate cat lady! Helping the local furry residents is my favorite way to connect with the neighborhood.
Playing pool & trying craft beers: I used to play in an amateur pool team and have a soft spot for IPAs, stouts, and sours. If you know a great local spot in Tbilisi with a good table and solid tap list, I’d love to hear about it!

Cravings: Italian food and cupcakes—always! 🧁
On the Screen: I love classics like Friends and The Big Bang Theory, but I’m also hooked on Stranger Things and Criminal Minds (a bit of a true crime fan!).
On the Playlist: I listen to almost everything, but 60s & 70s rock is my go-to—and, of course, the legendary Whitney Houston. 🎤
Travel Memories: Vung Tau (Vietnam) and Perth (Western Australia) hold a special place in my heart.

The Creative Side: I’m a trained hairdresser! Even though I’ve traded the scissors for Dutch grammar, I still cut my own hair (and my partner’s too).
Through the Lens: Nature photography is one of my biggest passions. Whether it’s a forest, a beach, or a beautiful tree in a Tbilisi park, I’m at my happiest when I’m snapping photos.
The Journey: We are true explorers at heart. Before settling in Georgia, we lived in Italy, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Vietnam, and Malaysia—and the adventure continues!
